I have started and stopped writing these words more times than I can count. Why? I’ve been seeking something unattainable: this so-called, modern-day standard of perfection. That being said, I promise three things when it comes to this blog:
It will be imperfect and chaotic.
It will be short, sweet, and honest. It may even be collaborative as I am always inspired by other conscious leaders and thinkers.
It will indulge your senses.
This is a consciousness blog intended to connect you to your senses, to empower your overarching awareness within the present moment. To get the most out of these posts, I encourage you to follow along by listening to the track I’ve carefully paired with the appropriate cup of tea. Additionally, a friend of mine (shout out to David Nassau) suggested I add an olfactory component, so I’ll also be playing around with that in the form of essential oils for those who want to really dive in.

Optional Tea Pairing: Earl Grey
Optional Essential Oil Scent: Orange
As humans, we try to organize the chaotic nature of creation, of the universe as it unfolds. But we fail to realize that it’s all really one perfectly choreographed dance. A dance that is ever-changing and slightly frail at times. If we learn to be aware of the perfection that resides in the chaos of everyday life, we have attained freedom. Whether this freedom lasts five seconds or five minutes is irrelevant if you learn to stare in awe of creation unfolding right before your very eyes. Here and Now. How much more exciting does life become when you realize each decision you make paints your canvas of existence?
And the beautiful part is that you can always revert back to a blank, white page. Each decision creates who you choose to be in this moment. I say choose because there is great flexibility in these personalities of ours, which are essentially stored experiences we use to create familiarity and comfort around our infinite light of potential. But notice that these identities/images we spend so much energy trying to preserve are merely a fabrication because perhaps we’re too frightened to understand our fullest power, which cannot fit in a perfect, little box.
I emphasize that I don’t mean “be a robot.” It’s the exact opposite actually, it’s about questioning self-limiting beliefs that hold you back from living outside of the box. The one thing you can be trusting of is that your heart and soul will always be a guide, we just have to learn to quiet the mind enough to hear their whispers.
So go out there ya crazy kids, and remember that “anything is in the realm of possibility in this beautiful life.” (Shout out to James Risberg for inspiring this part)
