Hello friends, I hope that you are taking good care in times of uncertainty. My intention is to connect during a time where things feel a little disconnected. A gentle reminder to the fact that we are never alone, as this is something that is affecting every single person in the world. It does not discriminate.
It is now more important than ever to self-care, to do less, and I don’t mean be lazy, but morseo to slooooow down. We are given the challenge and opportunity to fall into grace, because in reality, what option do we have? Don’t get me wrong, this is a practice in itself. Now is the time to crack open our toolbox for making the best out of a rather challenging situation so that we can keep our immune systems happy.
I’ve been seeing yogis and healers posting left and right about yoga and meditation resources and live streams they are providing for free or donation-based, so it is my goal to make that more digestible. In a post to come, I will be consolidating and relaying these opportunities to practice with some of my favorite teachers and dear friends.
I’ve been thinking about reigniting my blog and during my meditation today, it became apparent that NOW is the time to create. It’s also refreshing to see social media as a means of connection, of transcending physical boundaries to unite us in one present moment. And this is happening all over the world <3
For today, I’ll leave you with something that I’m implementing into my own practice, and that’s daily gratitude. What are you grateful for? Nothing is too big or too small. Join me and allow it to become part of your morning routine alongside some coffee or tea.
Here are my 3 things for today:
I’m grateful for all the brave employees at the grocery stores and corner stores that make it possible for all of us to have food and essentials during this time. And grateful for all the medical staff that are working tirelessly to help people heal from the virus. Thank you for showing up!
I’m grateful for family and friends and the ability to connect with them through technology. Also grateful for my partner, who has been such a loving quarantine buddy.
I’m grateful to have a safe space to call home. Even though I’m in a new city with no current employment, I’m so appreciative to have landed when I did.
Sending much love and light to you all, and you’ll be hearing from me soon! We’re in this together <3
